DOFDAHR Supports 250 Displaced Families with Food Assistance in Korma, North Darfur

As part of its ongoing partnership and support from Norwegian People’s Aid (NPA), the Darfur Organization for Development and Human Resources (DOFDAHR) carried out a food distribution operation on 25 November 2025 under its project supporting displaced families and communities affected by conflict in Al-Fasher. The distribution reached 250 households in the villages of Taw, Um Kharouk, Um Jadeed, and Maqabil in the Korma administrative unit of Al-Fasher locality, North Darfur. Families received essential food items including rice, oil, maize, flour, salt, and soap, aiming to alleviate daily hardships and strengthen food security for the most vulnerable. This initiative reflects DOFDAHR’s commitment to delivering humanitarian assistance in a safe and organized manner, ensuring that support reaches those most in need promptly and effectively.

DOFDAHR Responds to Urgent Needs of Newly Displaced Families in Korma North Darfur

Darfur Organization for Development and Human Resources (DOFDAHR) has launched a new humanitarian intervention as part of its ongoing food basket distribution project in the Korma displacement camps. The initiative targets newly displaced families affected by the ongoing conflict in Darfur and is implemented in partnership with Norwegian People’s Aid (NPA), reinforcing joint efforts to provide timely emergency support and protect vulnerable communities. During this phase of the distribution, 233 out of 500 newly arrived households in Korma Camp received essential food assistance, including rice, oil, soap, sorghum, flour, and salt. The remaining households are expected to be reached later this week.In parallel, with support from the Adeela Initiative, DOFDAHR has prepared an additional distribution for 250 households in Tawila locality, scheduled for later this week. These interventions highlight DOFDAHR’s commitment to alleviating immediate needs, strengthening community resilience, and supporting the most affected families amid worsening humanitarian conditions.

The activity was implemented with generous support and partnership from the Global Whole Being Fund.The distribution targeted 200 displaced families who recently arrived in Silak Kurma Camp over the past two weeks following the latest developments in El Fasher. Each food basket contained 5 kg of rice, 5 kg of sugar, a quarter sack of sorghum, and 3 bars of soap. This intervention is part of DOFDAHR’s continued efforts to strengthen food security and provide urgent humanitarian assistance to affected households, reaffirming the organization’s commitment to supporting vulnerable communities across North Darfur.

Food Distribution to Displaced Families in Korma Selik Camp in North Darfur

In October 2025, and with funding from the Global Whole Being Fund (GWBF), the Darfur Organization for Development and Human Resources (DOFDAHR) successfully distributed 200 food baskets at the IDP shelter center in Korma Selik Camp, North Darfur. This activity aimed to support 200 vulnerable families, recently displaced from El Fasher, including persons with disabilities, ensuring access to essential food and hygiene supplies. Each family received: ¼ sack of corn 5 kg of rice 5 kg of sugar 3 pieces of soap Through this initiative, DOFDAHR reaffirms its ongoing commitment to assist displaced and crisis-affected communities across Darfur by providing life-saving support and promoting community resilience.

DOFDAHR Distributes 200 Food Baskets to Displaced Families in North Darfur

As part of its ongoing humanitarian response, the Darfur Organization for Development and Human Resources (DOFDAHR), with support from the Norwegian People’s Aid (NPA), has distributed 200 food baskets to displaced families at the Korma Selik IDP Shelter Center in the Shobaa area. The assistance targeted 200 of the most vulnerable families, including people with disabilities and newly displaced persons who recently arrived from El Fasher. Each food basket contained essential food items to help families meet their daily needs, including، A quarter sack of corn، five kg of rice , five kg of sugarand , and three packs of soup. This intervention is part of DOFDAHR’s continued commitment to support crisis-affected families and alleviate the hardships faced by displaced communities in North Darfur State.

Emergency Food Distribution for Newly Displaced Families in El Fasher Supported by Norwegian People’s Aid

In response to the humanitarian appeal launched by the High Committee for Emergencies and Humanitarian Organizations in El Fasher, and as part of efforts to provide life-saving emergency food assistance, the Darfur Organization for Development and Human Resources (DOFDAHR), with support from Norwegian People’s Aid (NPA), today distributed food baskets to 83 newly displaced families at Al-Doha Center in Neivasha Camp and the Shelter Center in Al-Sahafa Square in El Fasher. The distribution will continue tomorrow to reach an additional 200 families across other IDP centers in the city. The project specifically targets elderly people, persons with disabilities, and the most vulnerable households, as part of DOFDAHR’s ongoing efforts to support those affected by the humanitarian crisis in Darfur.

Ongoing Distribution to Vulnerable Families in El Fasher Supported by Norwegian People’s Aid

As part of its continued support to internally displaced persons (IDPs) in El Fasher, the Darfur Organization for Development and Human Resources (DOFDAHR) today distributed food items to 41 of the most vulnerable families at the Al-Shikh Yaser Afandi IDPs Center. Food Distribution for Displaced Families in North Darfur Supported by Norwegian People’s Aid

With support from Norwegian People’s Aid (NPA), the Darfur Organization for Development and Human Resources (DOFDAHR) today launched the first round of food basket distributions, targeting 60 displaced families sheltered at Al-Salam Secondary School for Girls in El Fasher. This initiative comes in response to the urgent humanitarian needs of families who have been forced to flee their homes and are currently facing severe shortages of food, water, and clothing. The program will continue in the coming days to cover other displacement centers across the city as part of DOFDAHR’s ongoing efforts to assist the most vulnerable groups.
