DOFDAHR Distributes Hygiene Supplies to Girls at Umm Shajaira Displacement Shelter in El Fasher

As part of its ongoing efforts to promote health and dignity among displaced communities, the Darfur Organization for Development and Human Resources (DOFDAHR), with support from Norwegian People’s Aid (NPA), distributed 50 personal hygiene kits to girls residing at the displaced persons shelter at Umm Shajaira Basic School for Boys in El Fasher. The distribution activity was accompanied by an awareness session focused on personal hygiene and health practices, aiming to empower adolescent girls with essential knowledge to maintain their well-being and prevent hygiene-related illnesses. This initiative comes within the framework of DOFDAHR’s humanitarian response

DOFDAHR Volunteers Distribute Food Baskets to Vulnerable Families in El Fasher

With generous support from a philanthropist for the people of El Fasher amounting to 500,000 SDG, a team of volunteers from the Darfur Organization for Development and Human Resources (DOFDAHR) carried out a food distribution initiative at the shelter center of Al-Thawra Secondary School for Girls. A total of 25 food baskets was distributed to the most vulnerable families and persons with disabilities. Each basket contained essential food items, including flour, rice, lentils, oil, and sugar, aimed at alleviating the current food insecurity faced by displaced and affected households. In addition to the philanthropist’s contribution, DOFDAHR and its volunteers contributed 15,000 SDG to support the initiative. DOFDAHR expresses its sincere appreciation to the generous donor and all volunteers who contributed their time and effort to make this humanitarian intervention possible

We are thrilled to be among the winning organizations with the KAICIIDA Center to implement 360 Dialogue projects. The Dialogues Project is implemented in 12 countries in the Arab region, KAICIIDA will support 25 initiatives aimed at combating hate speech, responding to crises, promoting a culture of dialogue among religious followers and common citizenship, integrating diversity-supportive education principles, in addition to efforts to protect cultural heritage and religious sites. Launching of the Darfur Weekly Cultural Intellectual Forum in North Darfur

The Darfur Weekly Cultural Intellectual Forum is set to launch soon in North Darfur State, specifically in El Fasher locality. This forum will serve as a secure space for intellectual, cultural, and social discussions, providing an opportunity for different segments of society to share their concerns and explore potential solutions. The forum will convene every Saturday from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM. Participants are encouraged to register for the forum, ensuring equal opportunities for engagement. The goals of the forum include promoting intellectual, cultural, and social exchange, fostering community dialogues, networking, discussing relevant societal topics, and exchanging ideas and opinions to enhance understanding and knowledge. Director’s Participation in Rights for Peace Workshop on Combating Identity-Based Violence

As part of the organization’s director’s participation in the workshop organized by the Rights for Peace organization in Uganda on combating identity-based violence in North Darfur, the Darfur Organization for Development and Human Resources is set to initiate a series of dialogue and awareness sessions in the state. The workshops aim to address and combat hate speech and identity-based violence. This engagement was a result of the director’s involvement in the workshop held by RIGHTS FOR PEACE in Uganda on combating identity-based violence in North Darfur. The upcoming sessions organized by the Darfur Organization will serve as a valuable platform for dialogue and awareness, fostering efforts to combat hate speech and violence rooted in identity within the state.
