As part of its tireless endeavor to consolidate the rule of law and the role of the police in the civil state, members of the Darfur organization met with the director of the state police in the presence of the Advisory Police Unit in UNITAMS, in the presence of Major Muhammad Othman. Effectively, the idea of ??reviving awareness-raising workshops and seminars was crystallized, which includes the role of the police in the civil state and the rule of law to reach the integration of roles between the police and society to fight crime and raise awareness of the dangers of drugs, given that security is everyone’s responsibility. #DOFDAHR

Darfur Organization for Development and Human Resources received commendation from the Environmental Cleanup Initiative under the Ministry of Infrastructure and Urban Development for its outstanding contribution to the initiative. The recognition ceremony, presided over by the Director-General of the Ministry, Engineer Al-Mahi Al-Sheikh, witnessed the presence of organization member and founder, the Executive Director of the Graduate Employment Agency, Mr. Mohammed Abdelqader Jallab, and the organization’s director, Mr. Bahaa Al-Din Bushara, among other dignitaries from the Ministry and volunteers from both the organization and the initiative. The honor extended to the organization was represented by volunteer Taysir Idris Ahmed Mohamed, acknowledging her significant role in the initiative. The event showcased the collaborative efforts between the Darfur Organization for Development and Human Resources and governmental bodies in promoting environmental well-being.

In its ongoing commitment to engaging with youth initiatives and addressing youth issues in the region, the Darfur Organization for Development and Human Resources recently convened a meeting with the youth of Al-Wafaq neighborhood. Hosted at Al-Wafaq Square, the meeting delved into various crucial topics, including the priorities and needs of the youth. Emphasis was placed on encouraging youth participation in awareness initiatives and educational activities. The gathering also highlighted the pivotal role of youth in combatting drug abuse, rejecting hate speech, and promoting a culture of peace. The meeting fostered a lively and fraternal atmosphere, concluding with the registration of all attendees as volunteers for the organization. Darfur Organization for Development and Human Resources and Dysis Mann Organization for Peace and Development signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the Humanitarian Aid Coordination Office in North Darfur State. The signing ceremony, attended by Dr. Abbas Yousif Adam, the Humanitarian Aid Commissioner for the state, and Mr. Mohammed Sharaf El-Din Mahmoud, the Director of Assessment and Monitoring at the Coordination Office, marked a significant step in collaboration. Representing Darfur Organization for Development and Human Resources, Mr. Bahaa Al-Din Bushara Sharif, the organization’s director, and from Dysis Mann Organization, Mr. Mohammed Yahya Mohammed Bashir (Dysis Mann), signed the MoU to join forces in the areas of peacebuilding, human development, youth rehabilitation, and sustainable development. Commissioner Adam emphasized the vital role of civil society organizations in peacebuilding and development, praising the commitment of both organizations. The directors of the organizations expressed gratitude for the strong support from the Humanitarian Aid Commissioner’s office, acknowledging the collaborative effort in overcoming challenges for the benefit of the community.

A meeting was held between the Director-General of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and a delegation from the Darfur Organization for Development and Human Resources. The discussion focused on exploring avenues for cooperation between the organization and the ministry, particularly in the field of enhancing youth capabilities in the state. During the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the organization and the ministry, aiming to coordinate efforts to promote a culture of peace through sports and emphasizing the role of youth in supporting social peace. The MoU also highlights the commitment to creating opportunities for training, rehabilitation, and capacity building for the youth. The Director-General of the ministry pledged to provide technical, moral, and financial support to contribute to unleashing the potential of the youth. He expressed the ministry’s strong stance in supporting the youth and their endeavors.

Under the leadership of Mr. Nasser Saad Al-Nour, Director of the Entrepreneurship Center, a meeting was convened with members of the Darfur Organization for Development and Human Resources. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the organization of a training workshop on “The Role of Resistance Committees in Curbing Drug Spread in Neighborhoods and the Concept of Democratic Transition.” The participants emphasized the necessity of conducting this workshop to combat and reduce drug abuse, particularly in neighborhoods and around schools. The meeting addressed the damages caused by drug use, especially among the youth, and its negative impact on society. Additionally, a collaborative effort between the center and the organization will include an exhibition to raise awareness about drugs in coordination with the state police. This workshop is part of the joint efforts between the Entrepreneurship Center and the Darfur Organization for Development and Human Resources in the ongoing campaign against drug abuse and the promotion of a culture of peace.
