Dofdahr is selected to be among the winning organizations with the KAICIIDA Center to implement 360 Dialogue projects

We are thrilled to be among the winning organizations with the KAICIIDA Center to implement 360 Dialogue projects. The Dialogues Project is implemented in 12 countries in the Arab region, KAICIIDA will support 25 initiatives aimed at combating hate speech, responding to crises, promoting a culture of dialogue among religious followers and common citizenship, integrating diversity-supportive education principles, in addition to efforts to protect cultural heritage and religious sites. Report: Implications of the War in Sudan

Implications of the War in Sudan – Political, Economic, Social and Human Rights Situations. This report is published by YOUTH CITIZENS OBSERVERS NETWORK. (YCON Sudan). Darfur Organization For Development & Human Resources was one of the organization’s that participated in writing this report. Following the outbreak of the current war, the YCON decided to observe various violations that occurred during the war and their resulting effects. This includes documenting migration, displacement, and human rights issues and contributing to various efforts aimed at ending the war. The network has observers deployed in all 18 states of Sudan who work in the field to observe and report, sending their preliminary reports as the basis for the network’s various reports and activities. This report serves as a summary of the observers’ reports from all states during the past month, reflecting the most important developments, the political, economic, and social implications of the war, and the situation of displaced persons, human rights, and civilian protection. The repercussions of the war are increasing in all aspects of Sudanese life, with human rights violations, security restrictions, and instances of polarization growing as the war continues, without reaching agreements leading to a ceasefire and allowing humanitarian aid to enter conflict areas. In this report, various human rights violations and social implications have been documented, including cases of polarization and social conflicts fueled by the main conflict parties, which threaten peace in multiple states. 2nd Workshop to Combat Identity-based Violence in El-Fasher

Despite all the challenges, dofdahr.org organized today the second workshop to combat identity-based violence in the hall of the Darfur Organization for Development and Human Resources in El Fasher, with the support of Rights for Peace, with the participation of several representatives of shelter centers, civil society organizations, and civil administrationsThe workshop covered the concept of violence, the legal and formal framework, and how to fight it based on identity. رغم كل التحديات نظمت منظمة دارفور للتنمية والموارد البشرية اليوم الورشة التدريبية الثانية لمحاربة العنف المبني علي اساس الهوية بقاعة منظمة دارفور للتنمية والموارد البشرية بالفاشر بدعم من منظمة Rights for Peace بمشاركة عدد من ممثلي مراكز الايواء ومنظمات المجتمع المدني والادارات الاهلية حيث غطت الورشة مفهوم العنف الاطار القانوني والشكلي وكيفية محاربته علي اساس الهوية.

The War in Sudan – After the Fall of Madani

The scope of the war that started on April 15, 2023, increases daily. Civilian casualties are rising, whether through killing, displacement, or systematic impoverishment through looting and stealing citizens’ properties. This report attempts to reflect the latest military and security developments that have cast their shadows on the political, social, and economic levels. This report is based on the consequences of the fall of Gezira State and its capital, Madani. The fall of Madani was a pivotal point that has influenced the course of other events and has had repercussions on citizens, including massive displacement and refuge. Launching of the Darfur Weekly Cultural Intellectual Forum in North Darfur

The Darfur Weekly Cultural Intellectual Forum is set to launch soon in North Darfur State, specifically in El Fasher locality. This forum will serve as a secure space for intellectual, cultural, and social discussions, providing an opportunity for different segments of society to share their concerns and explore potential solutions. The forum will convene every Saturday from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM. Participants are encouraged to register for the forum, ensuring equal opportunities for engagement. The goals of the forum include promoting intellectual, cultural, and social exchange, fostering community dialogues, networking, discussing relevant societal topics, and exchanging ideas and opinions to enhance understanding and knowledge. It is emphasized that individuals can participate in the forum by registering through an online form shared on the organization’s official pages and website. Selection of participants will be carried out by a committee, allowing each person the opportunity to participate only once. Awareness Session on Disease Prevention in IDP Shelters – El Fasher

The center for sheltering displaced people at Badr al-Kubri Basic School for Girls was among the centers that included awareness sessions on the dangers of diseases and ways to combat and prevent them (malaria, dengue fever,) and identity-based violence), organized by the Darfur Organization for Development and Human Resources in North Darfur, El Fasher. In continuation of the community awareness campaign in the shelters for displaced people in North Darfur, El Fasher, the Darfur Organization for Development and Resources (DOFDAHR )organized an awareness session at the Sharqia Model Primary School Center for Boys. The session included awareness of the dangers of diseases (malaria, cholera, typhoid), methods of its spread, and ways to combat and prevent it. Workshop on Combating Identity-Based Violence in El Fasher

Today, Wednesday, a workshop on combating identity-based violence was launched at the Darfur Organization for Development and Human Resources hall in the city of El Fasher. The workshop brought together representatives from shelters, civil society organizations, media, activists, and volunteers in the community. Mujahid Saleh Adam, a representative of the Darfur Organization, explained that the workshop was organized based on recommendations and outcomes from a recent workshop held in Kampala, the capital of Uganda. He emphasized its importance for the community in fighting identity-based violence to maintain social cohesion and strengthen social fabric. Dr. Imad al-Din Ahmed Salem, a lecturer at the University of El Fasher, delivered a lecture on community organization and its impact on social peace according to the functionalist theory that regulates society. The lecture also covered the steps of community organization, including research, planning, and coordination. Another lecture addressed the dangers of hate speech towards society.
