As part of its earnest efforts to serve the people of the state, particularly the vulnerable segments of society, a representative from the Darfur Organization for Development and Human Resources held a meeting with the Director of Police for North Darfur State. Mr. Abdullah Yaqoub Adam, the organization’s Project Manager, attended the meeting along with Mr. Mohamed Musdaq, the Head of the Childhood Department within the organization. The meeting was conducted in the presence of Police General Yahia Mohamed Ahmed Al-Noor.
The discussion centered on ways to assist children lacking proper documentation in the displacement camps, particularly in obtaining birth certificates and national identification numbers. The collaboration with the Social Welfare Department was emphasized to facilitate the process. The initiative also aims to encourage families to adopt these children as a form of social solidarity, reducing the rates of homelessness and educational gaps in society.
Police General Yahia Mohamed Ahmed Al-Noor welcomed the visit, expressing full support for initiatives that benefit vulnerable and undocumented segments of the population. He explained the required procedures for obtaining such documents and urged the removal of any obstacles to integrating these individuals into society.
Following the meeting, the organization promptly initiated the registration and classification processes, coordinating with relevant authorities such as Social Welfare and the State Council for Childhood to implement the project.
Darfur Organization for Development and Human Resources appeals to all members of society to advocate for and support the adoption of undocumented children, facilitating their integration into families and the community. This initiative aims to provide a brighter future for these vulnerable individuals.
