DOFDAHR Delivers Essential Hygiene Kits to Vulnerable Families in South Darfur

Darfur Organization for Development and Human Resources (DOFDAHR), in partnership with the International Organization for Migration (IOM Sudan) and with support from the Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF), distributed health and hygiene kits for women and girls to 189 displaced families in Nyala South locality, South Darfur State.

This intervention comes as part of the emergency response project aimed at curbing the spread of cholera and strengthening public health services for displaced and host communities.

The kits included essential personal care and women’s health items designed to support women and girls and reduce the risk of cholera transmission, particularly amid the severe shortages in water and sanitation services in affected areas.

This initiative forms part of DOFDAHR’s ongoing efforts to support vulnerable families, enhance community resilience, protect women and girls, raise health awareness, and contribute to preventing the escalation of epidemics while improving overall public health in the affected communities.
