The initiative targets newly displaced families affected by the ongoing conflict in Darfur and is implemented in partnership with Norwegian People’s Aid (NPA), reinforcing joint efforts to provide timely emergency support and protect vulnerable communities.
During this phase of the distribution, 233 out of 500 newly arrived households in Korma Camp received essential food assistance, including rice, oil, soap, sorghum, flour, and salt.
The remaining households are expected to be reached later this week.In parallel, with support from the Adeela Initiative, DOFDAHR has prepared an additional distribution for 250 households in Tawila locality, scheduled for later this week.
These interventions highlight DOFDAHR’s commitment to alleviating immediate needs, strengthening community resilience, and supporting the most affected families amid worsening humanitarian conditions.
