As part of the Emergency Assistance Project for IDPs and Host Communities aimed at combating cholera and promoting health and hygiene awareness, and with the support of IOM Sudan, the Darfur Organization for Development and Human Resources (DOFDAHR) continues its field efforts in South Darfur State.

In October 2025, DOFDAHR’s field teams conducted home visits in Nyala city, reaching 30 households and delivering vital awareness messages on personal hygiene and cholera prevention to more than 199 beneficiaries.

The following day, an interactive theater performance was held at Abdullah Al-Ta’aishi Basic School in Nyala South locality, engaging 264 students, teachers, and community members in an entertaining and educational session on cholera prevention.
